The Department of Educational Research (PFI) at the Faculty of Educational Sciences in University of Oslo has announced three new doctoral research fellowships with an application deadline 20. August 2012.
The projects are expected to be linked to research themes in one of the seven research groups at the Department of Educational Research, one of which has its focus on higher education research.
The research group Higher Education: Institutional dynamics and Knowledge cultures (HEIK) has its primary aim to strengthen the theoretical, methodological, and empirical understanding of the dynamics of higher education on various levels of analysis and its links to professional development.
Applicants are expected to submit a project proposal (max 10 pages) outlining the topic, research problem, theory and method, in addition to a time schedule for the study and the potential research group linkage. It is advised to take contact with research group leaders beforehand in order to clarify further potential research areas and questions of interest. The main evaluation criteria is the quality of the proposal, along with quality of previous education, possible publications, and the ability to work in a team.
